We broke the squash!

Our friends used a real hammer today to break open the squash! We practiced immense safety measures while using the hammer. The children understood the importance of the safety rules. They decided the back of the hammer was more impactful then the front of the hammer.

When the squash was open the children appeared surprised to see it looked like spaghetti!

“Can we eat it? I love spaghetti!!” - Q

We unfortunately cannot eat this squash but perhaps we can try a different one that hasn’t been smashed into pieces.

Later on a couple of friends enjoyed the different parts of the squash.
